Magical Christmas Bauble

A handcrafted original Christmas Bauble, set with red, blue & purple cubic zirconia stones. 

Crafted using time honored traditional Jewellery making skills from sterling silver & copper. This will make a beautiful gift for someone special this Christmas. 

The copper is pierced by hand into a sphere. Using a Dremel 4000 and some stone setting burrs I drill all holes. The sphere is then rounded and domed using a doming block and a ball peen hammer. 

 Once the initial shape of the dome is set I then solder the copper to a sphere pierced out of sterling silver sheet. The second dome is then soldered into place. For the attachment on top of the bauble the same technique is used. Piercing out the metal to size then soldering on to the top of the Bauble. Once the Bauble is complete, I then remove all file marks and sand all metal down to prepare for final polishing. Set with 3mm cz gemstone. 

 Using Tripoli to remove scratches and then Rouge compound for a final High polish
